  For current students

Courses are offered in six periods of one or two months (see academic calendar 2010 - 2011).

The first period (September - October) all students start with two compulsory courses:

After period 1 many more options exist to put together a personalized study program. In order to provide some guidance, seven thesis oriented tracks have been identified. Some courses are compulsory to all MSc Climate Studies students (indicated with 'CS'). Other courses may be compulsory within a thesis track (indicated with 'RO1' to 'RO7'), or offered as a restricted option within the thesis track (indicated with 'ROxA').

The seven thesis oriented tracks:
  1. Meteorology and Air Quality
  2. Hydrology and Quantitative Water Management
  3. Crop and Weed Ecology or Nature Conservation and Plant Ecology
  4. Earth System Science or Integrated Water Management or Soil Quality
  5. Environmental Systems Analysis
  6. Environmental Economics
  7. Environmental Policy
Abbreviations  used in tabel:

Ects= credits / points per course
M1, M2 = first year master, second year master
CS = compulsory courses
RO = restricted optional courses
